Late Night Programming

The University of Miami is committed to providing a diverse set of Late Night programs on-campus for students. As such, the Student Activities Fee Allocation Committee in partnership with Student Activities & Student Organizations - is providing grants of up to $1,500.00 to groups that sponsor programs that enhance the Late Night campus experience.

To be considered for a Late Night Programming Grant, an event must:

  • Be sponsored by a COSO-registered club or organization.
  • Be free and open to all University of Miami students.
  • Be educational, entertaining, social, or recreational.
  • Take place on campus on Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening.
  • Take place between the hours of 9:00pm and 1:00am.
  • Be alcohol-free.
  • Be scheduled during the academic semester (summer or intersession programs will not be considered).

Other requirements:

  • Groups that receive grant funding will be required to acknowledge SAFAC and the Department of Student Activities as event co-sponsors.
  • The application must be received at least one month prior to the event date.
  • Organizations receiving programming grants are responsible for complying with all university policies related to room reservations, noise curfews, contracts, and payment.

Process:

To apply for a grant, fill out the Late Night Programming Grant application on OrgSync. A board of students from the SAFAC committee and the Canes Night Live programming board review all applications and provide their funding decision to you via email. You may be asked to present details about your program to the board, as well.
