Student Leader Listserv

The Student Organization Listserv consists of all presidents, treasurers, and third executive board members of record of undergraduate student organizations.

The Listserv is the primary communication channel for sharing important updates, deadlines, involvement opportunities, and upcoming events related to student organizations and the broader university community.

  • Important policy, deadline, and event information from COSO, SAFAC, and SASO.
  • Information about special events hosted by on-campus student organizations and departments.
  • Involvement opportunities from on-campus student organizations and departments.

  • Any content from non-UM entities.
  • Messages with deadlines that are within a day of the distribution of the email.
  • Solicitations for academic classes.
  • Advertisements for sales.

To send an email to the Listserv:

  • Draft a new email to studorgs@listserv.miami.edu. Be sure it reads exactly as you want it to go out, including the subject line.
  • Be specific about timelines, as messages may not be approved on the same day they are submitted. Avoid using phrases like "Event Tomorrow!" or "By 5 p.m. TODAY!"
  • The message will be reviewed by the staff in the Department of Student Activities & Student Organizations within 48 hours.
  • Once approved, the message will be distributed to the list.
