Hurricanes Help the Hometown

Come participate in one of the oldest service days at the University of Miami. Everyone who takes part is provided with breakfast, lunch, and an HHTH t-shirt.

Spirit Tree Competition
Monday, October 29th, 11:00am
Spirit Tree Behind Ashe
The Spirit Tree is the only orange tree on the University of Miami campus. Cheer on the teams as they present their Spirit Tree Ornaments to the judges at this one-of-a-kind event!

King & Queen Pageant
Monday, October 29th, 7pm
Shalala Student Center, Grand Ballroom
Join us as we crown the Homecoming Court! Finalists will be judged on their 'Canes spirit, talent, and poise, along with their resumes. Who will be the next University of Miami Homecoming King & Queen?

Organized Cheer Competition
Tuesday, October 30th, 7pm
Lakeside Patio Stage
O-Cheer is one of the most popular events of the week! Check out the teams as they lip-sync and dance to your favorite tunes. It's sure to be a heated competition loaded with talent!

Alma Mater Competition Finals

The top three teams battle it out to see who will be crowned the Alma Mater Champion! The winner receives the honor of singing the Alma Mater on the field at the Homecoming Football Game.

Homecoming Concert, presented by Hurricane Productions

Hurricane Howl

6pm - 10pm: Food Trucks
Miller Circle
Grab a bite from one of your favorite Miami food trucks! A limited number of free $5 food vouchers will be provided to students with a valid Cane Card.

6pm - 8pm: Block Party
Foote Green
Students, alumni, and families are invited to join in the fun at the Homecoming Block Party. There will be rides, games, and a number of special art displays.

7pm: Parade
Merrick Drive & Stanford Drive
Join the Homecoming Grand Marshal and over 40 participating organizations at the annual Homecoming Parade.

8:30pm: Boat Burning Ceremony & Fireworks
Lake Osceola
Celebrate the biggest tradition of Homecoming with thousands of 'Canes around Lake Osceola. Tradition states that if the mast of the boat falls before the boat sinks, UM will win the Homecoming football game. This is an event that you won't want to miss!

Miami vs. Duke
Saturday, November 3rd, Time TBA
Hard Rock Stadium
Cheer on the 'Canes as they take on Duke. The overall Homecoming competition winners will be announced, and the Homecoming Court will be introduced on the field.
